I shudder at the thought of where we’d be if from the glory of heaven Jesus looked down on His creation two thousand plus years ago, shielded His eyes from the messes, and chose to focus instead on the angelic praise music flowing from harps and lyres.

Friends, I don’t know where you find yourself emot Friends, I don’t know where you find yourself emotionally or spiritually (or physically, for that matter) this summer—celebrating or mourning, anticipating or dreading, clapping or crying.

What I do know is that we all have seasons of waiting. And they’re not fun. Much of the time they are barely tolerable. The life we have puts us in relationship with other people dedicated to their own perspectives, priorities, and timelines.

And SO we end up waiting . . . for answers. Waiting for change. Waiting for stability. Waiting for closed doors to open. Waiting for a resolution. Waiting for whatever remains hidden on the horizon. Waiting on a God who’s will and way seems, at the least, hazy.

Meanwhile, the clock is ticking. We’re losing precious time. Opportunities could slip through our fingers. And we’re short on patience. (Or is that just me?)

Why does waiting take so long?

If that’s where you are this summer, feeling stuck in an in-between space, waiting and waiting some more, pop over to my website and sign up to receive tomorrow's newsletter. I’m sharing one of my liminal space seasons with this month’s news because my heart aches to encourage you.
