Endorsements for Sinclair Sisters Novels

The folks who write the enticing blurbs about a story for a book cover or a front page receive ARC’s (Advance Reader Copies) from a publisher to read ahead of a book’s release.

What a blessing it was to have so many well-respected authors read The Sinclair Sisters of Cripple Creek Series and offer endorsements! Gargantuan Thank You’s to each one of the authors listed below for reading the stories. And, of course, I’m thrilled they enjoyed the books!

The Sinclair Sisters of Cripple Creek Series (Waterbrook Press)

The Sinclair Sisters of Cripple Creek Series (Waterbrook Press)

“Spunky sisters, mail-order brides, a mining town full of men…but where are the right ones! I was captivated from the first page!” ~Lauraine Snelling, author of The Red River Series and Daughters of Blessing

“A beautiful tale! Intriguing. Inviting. Inspiring.” ~Cindy Woodsmall, best-selling author of When the Soul Mends, The Bridge of Peace, and The Scent of Cherry Blossoms

“Mona Hodgson has done it again. With deft storytelling and characters that leap off the page, Too Rich for a Bride is a book I won’t soon forget.” ~Kathleen Y’Barbo, author of The Confidential Life of Eugenia Cooper and Anna Finch and the Hired Gun

Two Brides Too Many is one good book! Mona Hodgson sweeps the reader away with Sinclair sisters Nell and Kat an dnestles them in the majesty of Colorado, where a cast of characters eagerly await, to create a home. Hodgson leaves a tasty trail of breadcrumbs ready to lead us into the next story. Two more sisters…I can’t wait!” ~Allison Pittman, author of The Bridegrooms and Lilies in Moonlight

“Strong characters play out an intricately crafted story across a rich tapestry of setting. Not your usual mail-order bride story, and I loved the twists and turns. A real page-turner.” ~Lena Nelson Dooley, award-winning author of Wild Prairie Roses and Love Finds You in Golden, New Mexico

“This is a story that lets us stand on the cusp of a great societal shift–the entrance of women into the business world…. Cripple Creek’s cast of colorful characters plays host to a new romance, as well as pulling back the curtain on a local family tragedy. This sequel revisits the characters we’ve already come to love and creates a complementary depth to an entertaining new tale.” ~Allison Pittman, author of Stealing Home and The Bridegrooms

“I love recommending this series when readers ask me who I read and what books I can rave about.” ~Lauraine Snelling, best-selling author of Valley of Dreams and the Blessing series

  1. I do not read the endorsements. I may scan for name of authors to see if there may be a new one to me.

  2. Good Morning! Yay, another opportunity to win one of your books. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Yes, I do read endorsements. I respect the opinion of good and favorite authors of mine to give me new authors and their books to read. How very kind of them to share the ‘wealth’ of being writers/authors.

May God continue to richly bless you and your gift/talent of writing.

  3. Wow…exciting news…love Mona Hodgson’s wonderful books….and I would be sooo excited to WIN……..blessings to you Mona……keep writing such good books for all your many fans….I have shared on facebook and twitter too

  4. I’d love to win one of your books! This is such a wonderful series! I’m definitely interested in book endorsements. It’s always interesting to see people’s recommendations. I’m so pleased to have discovered your books, and that was through another author 🙂

      1. I am so sorry Mona but I honestly can’t recall. I read as much Christian fiction as I can get my hands on. If an author mentions another author that is new to me, I’m always eager to dig into their books. I’ve also been thinking that it may have been through WaterBrook Multnomah Fiction. Sunday blessings to you as well!

  5. I’d love to win and have to decide which of these delightful sounding books to choose!! I love the way you write, Mona. I do read endorsements when I consider a book–it helps me make a better decision I think. Blessings on you! Waiting to hear. Darlene

  6. I just completed reading book 3, after book 4 because 3 was checked out of the library. I still couldn’t put book 3 down even through I knew the outcome. I find the moral lessons in all the books encouraging. I like your writing style and look forward to reading more of your work. I count on the endorsements when I consider reading a book.

    1. Good morning, Lolly!

  9. Endorsements influence me to buy a book if I know the author that’s endorsing and if I really like their writing or not. But if there aren’t any endorsements, it doesn’t usually affect my decision of buying the book or not.

I’ve read Too Rich for a Bride and really liked it!!

  10. I reviewed Twice A Bride and loved it. I would love to win and read Too Brides To Many and of course the others two books in the series.

  11. Hi! I would love to read more of your books! I love to post reviews of the books I’ve read. I think they help readers decide to buy a book. I’ll read endorsements to see what others have to say, but if I already know the author or like the story-line, I’ll still get the book regardless of what the endorsements say.

  12. I read the endorsements. They are teasers for the book I am about to read. They start me thinking about what may happen and where the story may go. Who better to recommend a book than an author? They know what it takes to make an enjoyable book. They understand the process and appreciate all the work that is put into a good story. They introduce the reader to the wonderful world they are about to enter.

    1. Hi Johnda!
Thanks for joining me here. I’m excited for you to read Vivian’s story in THE BRIDE WORE BLUE and Willow’s story in TWICE A BRIDE.
      Blessings and Happy Reading!
      Mona

  13. I would love a book to read! I do read what others write about an authors new book but I also read the back for myself and make sure it is also a wholemome promoting publisher….then I know I will get a good, clean read that I can pass on to who ever I please, and am not afraid of my teen daughter picking up!

  14. Hi Nat,
I appreciate your interest in my four Sincliar Sisters novels. And I love your reading critiera, and the fact that my publisher and my books pass the muster. 🙂
    Blessings and Happy Reading!
    Mona

  15. Yes, I definitely read endorsements, especially if I recognize a favorite author’s name!

I’d love a chance to win your books – can’t find them at our library! 🙁

    Cheers,
    Sue

    1. Hi Susan!
Good to see you here. I appreciate your interest in my Sinclair Sisters novels. Hmm. Have you asked the librarian for them. Sometimes it takes “demand” to bring recognition and cause them to place an order. 🙂
      Blessings and Happy Reading!
      Mona
