So I said to the couple coming toward me, “There’s an eagle perched right through there.” Her reply, “I’ve seen plenty of eagles. Close-up ones. I like color. I don’t know why people get so excited about see an eagle.” I said, “because I see it as a gift; a wink from God. For you.” She patted my shoulder. “Oh. There you go.” Great reminder for me. I don’t want to take God’s graces for granted. Today, I am intentionally sharpening my senses to receive and celebrate God’s gifts.
