FOR TEACHERS

 

I appreciate what you do! I had some terrific teachers. Mrs. Ratcliff, my kindergarten teacher, and Mrs. Jarrell, my 9th grade English teacher, come to mind first. They both recognized their power to influence and they honored their students by paying attention.

 

I support classroom teachers in three specific ways:

  1. I write children’s books they can use in their classrooms.
  2. I visit schools for face-to-face encouragement to them and their students, as well as a peek into the writing life and the craft of writing.
  3. I offer on-line resources for use in the classroom.
