Events for Women

In her spoken and written words, Mona encourages her audience to reflect on God’s nature—who He is, what He offers, and what He desires for His children and from his children.

Now He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a pledge. Therefore, being always of good courage…we walk by faith, not by sight.

2 Corinthians 5:5, 6a, and 7, NASB

Each is designed for two, three, or four presentations of 45-60 minutes each. Most topics combine to fill a half or full day seminar or weekend retreat. She can adapt any of her topics to tie into a particular theme. The suggested times are adjustable to meet the needs of your group. The Quilted Heart

Is a Transformed Heart

God is in the business of transforming hearts. Quilters are transformers. Our lives consist of various remnants from everyday life. What are you doing or what have you done with the scraps/pieces you’ve been given? Have you thrown them away (cast them aside, pushed them down, tried to keep them hidden), or are you trusting God to sew them in for your good and His glory?

Using the metaphor of quilting—the top, the batting, the backing, the thread, Mona offers a fun and poignant examination of a Christ-centered faith; of God’s Pattern and Provision for quilting our hearts together and reaching out to others.

I have set the LORD continually before me;

Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Psalm 16:8, NASB

In the Master’s Garden
Abiding in All Seasons

Life is like the weather—seasonal and changeable. Women everywhere face change and transitions are unavoidable. In an embracing look at Jesus' metaphor of the vineyard in John 15, Mona examines the images of the Vine, the Vineyard Owner, the branch, and the fruit; drawing comparisons between the various seasons in the vineyard and those in our lives.

O taste and see that the Lord is good. How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!

                                                                    Psalm 24:8

Popular Single  Event Topics

The following topics are adaptable for conference and retreat workshops, keynotes, luncheons, teas, banquets, and other women's gatherings.

Bridging the Gap

A bridge spans a gap, getting you from one side to another. From one place to another. Bridges are important in transitions and they come in various shapes, sizes, materials, and colors. We are sometimes the bridge and sometimes the supports for a bridge, but we are all here to help bridge a gap. In this talk especially designed for Mother’s Day and Spring events, Mona uses Huldah, Anna’s, and Esther’s stories to show what a human bridge looks like.

Gifts to Nourish Your Child’s Heart

In this talk, especially popular with MOPS (Mothers’ of Preschoolers) groups, Mona uses her childhood, parenting, and grandparenting experiences as well as those of others to share ten practical and relational suggestions for expressing love to your children.

It’s Enough to Make You Laugh
Find Yourself at Home With Humor

Laughter can renew a wounded spirit. Mona shares the differences between healthy and unhealthy humor and demonstrates the value in finding opportunities to laugh in stressful situations. She also shares four practical and effective ways to brighten your home and world with humor. Women will laugh and be inspired to look at the funny side of life.

COPING WITH LOSS
Gaining Ground Through Grief

Mona explores various losses that cause grief, uncovers the symptoms of a grieving person, identifies steps in the grieving process, addresses the myths surrounding grief, and offers practical tips for growing in the course of grief. Women will have their faith in God strengthened, knowing that He wants to wipe their tears and give them joy in their mourning.
